Spiritual guidance is the art and practice of conversation and prayerful listening carried out in the context of a sacred trusting relationship. A spiritual guide is a faith companion who listens to you with an ear for discerning the movement of the Holy Spirit in your life. God/Holy Spirit is the true Guide and Director, while the human spiritual guide is like a companion, midwife or usher, who assists by noticing and responding to the movements of Divine Grace.

Lisa's role as your spiritual guide is to focus attention on your spiritual experiences and self-discovery, and to explore how God is present, loving and active in your life. 

Therefore, it is not her role to analyze, judge or fix. Although your conversations may involve deep personal sharing and exploration of personal crisis and suffering, her role is simply to be present as a companion on the spiritual journey.
